Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how BuyOrWaiit (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use BuyOrWaiit.com and related services. We are based in Poland and, where applicable, we process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are

BuyOrWaiit operates a price comparison platform for event tickets (including NBA, NFL, World Cup, MMA, concerts, and similar events). We aggregate and display ticket-related information and links to third-party marketplaces. We do not sell tickets directly.

For privacy-related requests, contact us at: buyorwait33@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you use BuyOrWaiit, we may process:

  • Email address — when you sign up for price alerts or create an account, with your consent.
  • Name — if you choose to provide it as part of your account or communications.
  • Favorite teams or interests — to personalize alerts and recommendations.
  • City or region — where you provide it for localized content or preferences.
  • Notification preferences — how and when you wish to receive alerts (e.g. email frequency, topics).
  • Technical and usage data — such as IP address, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, and timestamps, used to secure our services and improve performance (where permitted by law).
  • Account identifiers — data associated with your user account when that feature is available.

3. Why we collect and use your data

  • To send price alerts and similar notifications you have requested or consented to.
  • To provide personalization (e.g. teams, events, or regions you care about).
  • To operate and improve the platform, including security, analytics, and troubleshooting.
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Under GDPR, we rely on appropriate legal bases such as consent (e.g. marketing emails), contract (providing services you sign up for), and legitimate interests (e.g. securing the site), where applicable.

4. Where we store data (Supabase)

We use Supabase as our backend to store and manage certain data (including account and alert-related information). Data may be processed on infrastructure operated by Supabase or its subprocessors. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures and choose configurations that align with GDPR requirements, including data processing agreements where required.

5. Affiliate links and commissions

BuyOrWaiit compares prices from third-party platforms such as SeatGeek, StubHub, VividSeats, and Ticketmaster. Outbound links may be affiliate links. If you click through and complete a qualifying purchase on a partner site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not affect how prices are displayed, but it helps support the service.

6. Your rights: delete account and data

When user accounts are available, you may delete your account and all associated personal data we hold in connection with that account, subject to limited exceptions (e.g. data we must retain by law). You can request deletion through in-product controls when offered, or by emailing buyorwait33@gmail.com.

7. Email consent and unsubscribe

We collect email addresses for price alerts and similar messages only with your consent or another valid legal basis. You may withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting buyorwait33@gmail.com. After you unsubscribe, we will stop sending marketing or alert emails unless you opt in again or we have another lawful reason to contact you.

8. GDPR (users in the EU / EEA)

If you are in the European Union, European Economic Area, or UK, GDPR (or equivalent local law) grants you rights that may include:

  • Access to your personal data.
  • Rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) in certain cases.
  • Restriction of processing.
  • Data portability where applicable.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country, in particular in Poland with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), if you believe our processing infringes GDPR.

To exercise these rights, contact buyorwait33@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

9. Retention, security, and transfers

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required by law. We use appropriate security measures to protect data. If personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.

10. Children’s privacy

BuyOrWaiit is not directed at children under the age where parental consent is required for data processing in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from such children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or a notice on the site where appropriate.
